The ASUS ESC4000A-E11 is a 2U single-socket accelerator server built for HPC, virtualization, cloud and enterprise workloads. This unit is configured with one AMD EPYC 7742 processor, 64-Core (128 Threads), and eight 3.5"/2.5" hot-swap bays with a backplane supporting four SATA/SAS and four SATA/SAS/NVMe devices, with up to four NVMe drives supported. No HBA or RAID controller is installed, so SAS drives require an add-in card in the dedicated PCIe Gen4 ×8 slot. It has eight DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 2TB of 3200 MT/s RDIMM memory, and all expansion slots are free — four PCIe Gen4 ×16 full-height full-length slots for dual-slot GPU cards, two low-profile PCIe Gen4 ×16 slots, and one PCIe Gen4 ×8 slot for an HBA or RAID card. Networking is 2x Gigabit LAN via an onboard Intel I350-AM2 controller with a dedicated management port, and remote management is handled by ASMB10-iKVM with an AST2600 BMC. Power is supplied by two Platinum-rated units in a 1+1 redundant configuration. Sold as CPU only — no memory, GPUs, or drives included. Ships with inner rails only; outer rail kit not included.
