• Communications with us including the information you include in communications with us via email, live chat, phone, product question and answer features, or other channels, for example when sending a customer support inquiry or a job application.
• Device information including information about your device, browser, operating system, or network connection, your IP address, time zone, and other unique identifiers.
• Usage information including information regarding your interaction with the Services, including how and when you interact with or navigate the Services, pages viewed, referring URLs, search terms used, click patterns, mouse movement and scrolling, and session duration.

• Marketing and advertising. To send marketing, advertising and promotional communications by email, text message or postal mail, and to show you online advertisements for products or services on the Services or other websites, including based on items you previously have purchased or added to your cart and other activity on the Services. We may also use your information for audience matching and targeted advertising through third-party advertising platforms, including LinkedIn and Google.
• Security and fraud prevention. • With business and marketing partners to provide marketing services and advertise to you. For example, we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you reside, you may have a right to direct us not to share information about you to show you targeted advertisements and marketing based on your online activity with different merchants and websites.
• When you direct, request us or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products, to invite you to leave a review, or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations.

5. Hardware Buying and Trade-In Program

When you sell or trade hardware to ServerPartDeals.com, additional data practices apply:

• Asset information. We collect details about the hardware you are selling, including device type, manufacturer, model, serial numbers, capacity, condition, and quantity. This information is used to evaluate, process, and complete the transaction.
• Seller verification. We may collect business credentials, proof of ownership, or authorization documentation to verify that you have the legal right to sell the hardware.
• Data on received devices. Storage drives and other hardware received through our buying program may contain residual data from previous use. We follow industry-standard data sanitization practices. However, it is the seller's responsibility to ensure that all sensitive data has been removed from devices prior to shipping them to us. We are not liable for any data remaining on hardware you send to us.
• Seller payment information. We collect banking or payment details necessary to issue payment for hardware we purchase from you.
• Retention. Seller transaction records, including asset details and payment records, are retained as long as necessary for tax, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution purposes.

We use cookies, log files, web beacons, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on the Services.

• Site search and notifications: Boost AI Search & Filter (on-site search) and STOQ (back-in-stock email notifications you request).
• Shipping, fulfillment, and duties: ShipStation, ShipperHQ, Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (for some orders shipped from Amazon facilities), and Zonos (international duty and tax calculation). Your name, address, phone number, and order contents are shared with these providers and with carriers to deliver your order.
• Tax, accounting, and operations: TaxJar, Webgility with QuickBooks Online, A2X, Finale Inventory, Order Printer Pro, and Rewind (data backup). These receive order and customer records needed for tax compliance, accounting, inventory, and business continuity.

8. Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features (including Shopify Audiences) that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with our store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over use of your personal information for these purposes. 9. Data Retention

How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to maintain your account, to provide you with Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.

Order, transaction, tax exemption, and hardware buying program records are retained as long as necessary for tax, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution purposes. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active; if you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law. Marketing and communication preferences are retained until you opt out or request deletion. Device and usage data is retained in identifiable form for a limited period to support analytics and security purposes; aggregated and anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Customer support records are retained for a reasonable period following the last interaction to support ongoing service quality and dispute resolution.

10. Your Rights and Choices
