The Gigabyte R182-Z93 is a 1U rackmount NVMe server built for software-defined storage, virtualization, database, and high-throughput cloud workloads. This unit is configured with two AMD EPYC 7742 processors, 64-Core each (128 Total), supplied as Quality Sample (QS) units rather than retail production silicon. It has 10 front hot-swap 2.5" Gen4 NVMe bays at PCIe Gen4 x4 per bay — SAS and SATA drives are not supported — plus an internal M.2 slot at PCIe Gen4 x4, noting that CPU TDP is limited to 225W when an M.2 drive is installed. The platform provides 32 DDR4 DIMM slots across 8 channels per CPU supporting RDIMM/LRDIMM at up to 3200 MT/s, two full-height half-length PCIe Gen4 x16 slots and one OCP NIC 3.0 Gen4 x16 slot. Networking is 2x 1GbE via an Intel I350-AM2 controller with a dedicated management LAN, plus an installed Intel 82599ES 4x 10GbE SFP+ adapter. RAID requires an add-in card, not included. Power is supplied by two 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum units in a 1+1 redundant configuration with 100-240V AC input. Sold as CPU only — no memory or drives included. Ships with a 2-section rail kit.

We test every server before you do.
Every server Server Part Deals sells passes an internal 4-stage testing protocol before it ships. While many resellers stop at a basic power-on check, we validate installed hardware, firmware, system performance, thermals, and stability under sustained load. Each server is tested to confirm that it meets or exceeds its listed specifications.
Stage 1: Physical Inspection
- Chassis and structural inspection
- Port, connector, and backplane check
- Fan, heatsink, and airflow inspection
- Shipping-damage and component-security check
Stage 2: Hardware & Firmware Validation
- CPU, RAM, and storage verification
- BIOS and firmware validation
- RAID and controller detection
- Remote-management interface check
Stage 3: Performance Testing
- Processor and memory benchmarking
- Storage and network throughput testing
- Multi-component load simulation
- Power and thermal-performance validation
Stage 4: Stability & System Testing
- Extended burn-in testing
- Hardware-error and event-log review
- Fan, temperature, and power monitoring
- Final boot and configuration verification
